Details: To celebrate day 3 of our Not Going to The Festival of Quilts 2026 events, spend a couple of hours with Rachel, CEO and Founder of The Sew Happy Quilters' Association, learning to make a Gee’s Bend inspired half-log-cabin block. Rachel will introduce the Gee’s Bend quilters and talk about the quilts recently on display in the UK. This is an all hand sewn workshop using your scraps, and by the end you’ll have some beautiful blocks.

Details: Come and enjoy a wonderful zoom day sewing quilts for cats for our 'Operation Warm Beans'. Helping to provide warmth and wellbeing to the cats awaiting adoption within the Cats Protection pens in the UK, our connected Charity.
Quilts can be made in any fabric, wadded or fleece backed, placing no embellishments please, you can make them to either 9 x 14 inch and/or 16 x 20 inch

Details: In this one-day workshop, you’ll learn the essential skills needed to create a beautiful piped cushion and leave with your own 18inch x 18inch cushion in a fabric of your choice. Throughout the day, you’ll be guided through planning and templating your design, cutting and overlocking fabric, making and attaching piping, inserting a zip, and assembling your cushion to a professional finish.

Details: Join in with the SHQA team for a FREE zoom sewing day making 'Comfort Coasters' for our partnered charity The Lewis Foundation. This incredible charity creates care packages for people undergoing cancer treatment in Hospitals. Our comfort coasters are placed inside their hydration packs.
With demo's during the day, the Zoom class is suitable for complete beginners machine or hand sewing and can be made in any shape, no larger than 5 inch square.
