The SHQA team visited the 150th Patchwork Collection Display at Liberty London

Over 1500 blocks were made in Liberty Fabrics and sent to Liberty London to celebrate their 150th Anniversary

To Celebrate 150 years of creativity, discovery and craft

Crafted by the artistic community, weaving the story of Liberty

For the artists that had sent a block there was a QR code you could scan to find out where it was placed, together with being able to search on the Liberty London Website

The supersized patchwork house comprises over 1,000 patchwork squares. A physical manifestation of the creativity, community, values and talent that make Liberty, Liberty.

With such a high volume of submissions, not every square could be incorporated into the final creation.

So, to further celebrate the contributions of the crafting community, five unique books, were also on display at Liberty.

With the patchwork blocks arriving in London from across the globe, from Macclesfield to Melbourne, this truly is a community like no other.

From Cat Blocks to Dog Blocks

From Dresden Plates to Foundation Paper Pieced

It truly was an amazing day out, and we spent literally hours there and stopped off twice for Tea and Cake! Keep an eye on our Youtube Channel a full video is coming soon
