Ashmead Designs Block of the Month Quilt 2021–2023

This square hand sewn quilt was made by Rachel D’Ambrosio in 2021 from an Ashmead Designs Block of the Month programme. It was created using the fabrics supplied with the BOM and constructed with Hexiform pieces.The quilt was professionally long-arm quilted in 2023. Although Rachel was not initially keen on the quilt when the top was completed, the long-arm quilting transformed the finished piece and highlighted the importance of quilting as a key stage in bringing a quilt to life.Measuring 46 inches x 46 inches, it is a lovely example of a Block of the Month project developing into a finished quilt through the final quilting process.
