Handmade Estonian Patchwork Jacket 2025

This beautiful handmade patchwork jacket was purchased by SHQA at an artisan market in Estonia in 2025, during one of Rachel D’Ambrosio’s cruise trips. Rachel had hoped to find a quilt while visiting the market but instead discovered this wonderfully warm and comforting quilted jacket.Although the maker on the stall did not speak English and Rachel did not speak Estonian, they were still able to communicate through their shared appreciation of quilting. This lovely encounter makes the jacket especially meaningful, representing how textile making can create a connection beyond language.A much loved addition to the SHQA collection, the jacket combines practical warmth with the beauty and individuality of handmade patchwork.
