“The Green Pathway” Liberty Fabric Quilt - 2022

This hand-sewn quilt, titled “The Green Pathway,” was made by Rachel D’Ambrosio in 2022 from an Alice Caroline Block of the Month programme. Rachel replaced the original paper templates with Hexiform pieces and used Liberty fabrics throughout, including a beautiful blue Liberty fabric backing.Rather than making each monthly section as it arrived, Rachel collected all twelve months of the programme before completing the quilt in one concentrated three month period. She also chose to rearrange and swap fabrics within the Grandma’s Flower Garden style design, creating a layout that felt personal to her.The finished quilt has been professionally long-arm quilted.
